Right, the main point is, they make lots of $$$. Anyone know how PLJ does in the 25-54 demos?

It takes a while for station changes to be noticed.

Yeah, I used to listen KTU 92.5 FM. It took me about 7 months to realize that they had changed to Rock and moved the frequency over to 92.3 FM. I wondered why all of the songs sounded the same. Like this: SHHHHHHHHHH. Go figure.

I told my friend one day to listen to the sound on 92.5 and I told my friend that it sounded like static. My friend listened to it and he said, "Yeah, it does."

Jack is obviously a medium market middle America style format
geared toward 40+/- medium income white males (and to a lesser
degree females with the reasoning that females will tune in
regardless, while men may be somewhat more loyal to Classic
Rock) That it works in Top 10 cities is a bonus. As for NY,
it should be simple to get the 3.0 share, but for some unknown reason,
no one is trying to tweak the sound to have the NYC vibe and
beat, which I think is the damned dumbest mover yet, including
the Blink fiasco. Because, Jack with a NY attitude could and
should be the most hilarious and greatest station to listen to.

If none of the suits have the +++++ to get Jack on track,
then someone ought to fire them OR

Flip the damn thing back to Oldies, uptempo and increase the
playlist and update the imaging and go for a 4.0 and have the
guts to admit defeat.

Millions of dollars are being wasted each month as it stands.

Funny how little ole Nashville has pulled off what NYC radio
"programmers" who think they know it all can't. A great Jack
and a great Oldies stations that combine for about 13 shares.

What is wrong with Infinity and management at WCBS?

When you have so many levels of corporate numbness with
so much obvious dead weight protecting each other... you can't
make anything shine. Someone needs to get these people to
realize that JACK is about diversity and that is NYC.

I'd get you the numbers, but it wouldn't be pretty.

I've got a question? Is this the same Rocky Allen that used to work at KHOP-FM 104.1 in Stockton, CA. when it was an oldies station back in the early 1980's?
I'm listening to an aircheck from that station I recorded and the DJ playing the oldies is Rocky Allen.
