Oldies format 102.9 heard in Austin

Check out www.kityradio.com now is able to be picked up in Austin on 102.7. Looks like the Oldies format has been able to find its way back onto Austin airwaves...

Looks like pretty decent coverage, but they're likely to get slammed by Jack from SA every now and then. I guess this one completes the KITY string of translators; the others are in the northwest 'burbs and Burnet. Plus they've had a full-powered C2 simulcaster (KOTY) out in Mason for quite a while. Not bad for the little 2000 watt station from Llano, and hopefully their little "network" will help them out.

today i was going up into round rock and was able to receive somewhat well around loop 45 and ih 35. the strongest area seems to be in north austin , downtown . i don't know about south austin.

I live in South Austin and it comes in well here. I can pick it up on all my radios at home and it comes in clearly in my car, no interference from JACK in SA...

102.9? Where is its city of license?

KITY-FM is licensed to Llano, and their tower (about 500 foot) is off Highway 71 about eight miles to the southeast.
