Oldies gone from 105.1 HD4

I guess if you want your fix of "Brown Eyed Girl", you'll have to head over to the brokered program on 10~ninety !!

Until the guy brokering the timeslot runs out of money, anyway.

And look at the nickname of the host of the XEPRS show... if it were in the U.S. they would get a fine or worse for the term "El Chingón" which, in its worst sense, is a derivative of the Mexican slang for the "F" word.

He also uses other questionable expressions. He said it's G-d damn hot outside. In the USA one would think twice before using that term.

Surprised and pleased to hear oldies back on 105.1 HD3. I didn’t hear any IDs and coupled with the closure of the LAOldies website, I’m curious if the “K-Surf” branding is dead and this is a new, unbranded stream

I am already seeing that with the strong 25-49 listening to my own format in Albuquerque.
Since yours is a station that both streams and appeals to an age group that's fully acclimated to streaming itself, may I ask: what is the typical ratio you're seeing today for listeners of your FM signal versus listeners using the online stream? And how has it changed over time?

Not asking for anything that might be proprietary like exacting numbers. I'm simply curious if there's a generally fixed ratio that you see holding itself throughout each day.

I simply don't know. We don't really differentiate between AM. translator, and stream listening. In fact, KRKE doesn't even use the Nielsen ratings for local ad sales. We let the programming speak for itself.

Here's our philosophy: The "ratings" we care about come from the businesses we approach with a pitch. If a business owner can be convinced to listen for a while, and said businessperson likes what he or she hears, then they will come to the conclusion that other people who like the programming are the kind of listeners who are desirable as customers. Ka-ching!

you can listen to

or stream

77 WABC at 3pm Pacific on Saturdays. They run 6 straight hours of music. Or listen to the app. Cousin Brucie and then Tony Orlando (w/out Dawn) The interviews and stories alone are worth it, as the people that were there back in the day are becoming fewer and farther between.
