WWKB(the old WKBW)had Jackson Armstong(your LEEEE-DER) on in the evenings before it switched to talk. Where is he now? Doing oldies elsewhere? Retired?
Feel free to ask the Buffalo board. There's some lurkers and/or posters there who may know...

I missed WWKB in Buffalo when it was oldies since it flipped to talk back in February. The station was great in New York City at nighttime since it had a killer signal going towards other places if I have an AM radio where I can DX some stations elsewhere. Jackson Armstrong was great where he was playing oldies. I have an aircheck on my iPod.
Dear Jackson Armstrong(and other fans of the leee-der)
Thanks to all who posted. Like many outside the market areas he worked I listened to airchecks of Jackson at KB at WIXY 1260 and Indy's former 13 WIFE. There is a tribute show(or two) to Cleveland's WIXY 1260...one is Majic 105.7's "60s at 6" with Don "Action" Jackson in the evenings (www.wmji.com) using some re-done WIXY jingles with the "majic" logo used and even more with Joe Madigan's "Retro Radio" on college station WJCU-FM in the Cleveland suberb of Universiy Heights(www.wjcu.org)on Tuesday afternoons and Thursday mornings. Joe is now in his last year of college and has picked up a cult-like following with his WIXY tribute show...thanks to the WJCU audiostream. WIXY still lives in Cleveland thanks to this talented young individual who comes from the X (or Y) generation(Goo Goo Dolls,Green Day etc) but has the spirit of a teenage baby boomer taking in a day at Cedar Point in the 60s.Mr.Armstrong(wherever you are)it would be a pleasant surprise if ever you drive through Cleveland sometime soon to stop by this little mini-brute of a college station and make this young man's day before he graduates from college next year. He is inspired by you.www.retroradiotop40.comwww.joemadigan.comwww.wjcu.org
