Oldies on WABC??

Hey all,

I've seen a post in a couple of places that WABC will be doing an oldies show Saturday nights starting this weekend from 6-10 pm. I'll try to listen over the webstream (if my computer wasn't awful, I could probably tape it myself) though I'm going out that night...was wondering if anyone else had heard about this and/or planned to tape it that night?

I do have another question...can anybody out there (anywhere in the NE) tape some WWKB? I'd like to hear them, but I'm in the wrong part of the country and they don't stream.

Thanks Matt....I can sometimes get them through the static here in Memphis. Never had a reason to try to listen though, I know I'll be drooling Monday!

I'm in shock about the WABC thing. I never thought in a million years that they'd wind up doing a music show. I'm definately going to listen. Glad its at night.<P ID="signature">______________

Hmm. Oldies on WABC eh? Sounds interesting. Maybe this'll give me a reason to plug my Sony SRF-A100 into a cassette deck here. Hopefully its something like the "True Oldies" format that I have tapes o of from WJBQ earlier in the weekend.

Thanks Matt, I'm really looking forward to this one!
 
I am an old fan of WABC. I remember "The Last Show" with Dan and Ron which ended at noon on a Tuesday morning around May, 1982. I also remember the weekend before was an all oldies weekend where WABC played songs that were hits during their years as Musicradio 77 WABC.

I am looking forward to hearing this show. You know, it has a high standard to meet. Music on WABC was musicradio at its best.
