Oldies on WDJO-AM are back in Cincinnati

For those of you lamenting the loss of KB-1520 and WSAI, there's good news in the Queen City. AM 1160 WDJO is now playing 10,000 Oldies in a row. They'll soon be streaming at www.oldies1160.com . These are the 50s and 60s Oldies you loved on KB and WSAI. The signal won't reach as far as they're only 5000/990, but you can listen on-line soon.

I have nothing to do with the station, but I thought you'd like to know. The discussion on the Cincinnati baord has been lively, to say the least.

Some names you'll know are involved. Among those involved with WDIO are market veterans Dusty Rhodes and Brian Kauffman.

R&R got the calls wrong. It's WDJO

It's WDJO, not WDIO. WDJO was the city's first oldies station on AM 1230 in 1985.

And 1230 was the home of Cincinnati's first Top 40 Rocker, WCPO from 1956 until early 1966...
