oldies returning to new orleans

next thursday kool 105.3 returns to new orleans after being off the air since hurricane katrina. its actually moving from its previous home on 95.7. that frequncy is now bayou 95.7 a classic rock station.<P ID="signature">______________
note to the NAB..satellite radio..its worth paying for!!</P>

That's great news they're bringing it back.

Can you imagine being a GM or Programmer in that market since Katrina and perhaps for the next several years?

Most outside the bayou region don't realize most of the area is still devestated- you sure didn't get that feeling watching coverage of Mardi Gras but the most basic services are still lacking over a majority of this region. From friends who live(d) down there, many areas today look like Katrina just hit last week.

Andy Holt and the rest of that gang deserve our respect, our support and our prayers. Competing in today's radio is tough enough. What they're up against boggles the mind.
