All Access is reporting that Washington's WBIG-100.3 may be dropping it's oldies format.

An active discussion is going on now on the Washington/Baltimore board, where one person speculates that the station may go to sports talk, of all things.

Heh heh there's WBIG-FM HD-2 Oldies of the 50s and 60s

Very few people have HD radios (yet), so I was talking about analog radio.

Sorry for the confusion.

Or when someone in the coverage area of a station changing formats hears the format change on the air and immediately posts on one of the Radio-Info.com messageboards something like "W*** Is Stunting" or "W*** Has Flipped To (Name Of New Format)".

It should've been dropped years ago. The only good thing about WBIG was Goldy, and he was let go, what, over a year ago? WBIG was never really a good oldies station overall. Best to flip it.<P ID="signature">______________

Sister station AC WASH has started to lean heavily gold, they play lot's of 70s. So if WBIG does flip, WASH will serve as the default oldies station.
