Oldies106.1-WOLS Issue With Audio Chain-STL

Called a weekend Board Op to leave a message for the CE that there was a high-pitched tone in the left channel of the audio.

Might be a piece of switchgear @the xmtr site, or could it be the STL?

Evidentally, the CE received the message or heard the issue himself, because the audio is clean this PM (5/1).

There's no website to email the CE, & no answer in the office in the afternoon.

Is there a receptionist there in the AM when Ken Conrad does his local AM show?

Nobody answers the phones during the day at a FM station in market 25? Somehow I'm not surprised---106 sounds like maybe a market #250 oldies station, despite all the positive hype that has been written on this board.

Affirmative, this is a Jones Radio Network outlet/facility.

Agreed, there should be a website by now.

The legendary Ken Conrad is there live, because I spoke w/him this AM.

Would've thought I would have spoken to a receptionist, because it was 930am.

The only number they have listed is (704) 570-1061.

Ken said that the issue was the aux xmtr, as they were transmitting on it as they installed a new xmtr!

But, I think the CE should fix the aux xmtr if it happens again.

Meanwhile, WOLS still remains a Class 2 FM, with:
