Oldues 950 "At The Hop"

Okay, okay...I know I've been posting wayyy too much about Oldies 950 these days, lol. I just found it highly amusing that on said show they played back to back I Saw Her Standing There by The Beatles and More Today than Yesterday by Spiral Staircase. Um, maybe it wasn't that amusing.

What is so strange? I wish all oldies stations did that. Though More Today... is played too much.

WPEN Weekends

Speaking of WPEN, the Inquirer reports the Jelinecks are retiring on their last show on 'Oldies' 950 (and they truly are, at 86 & 83, lol) October 1, but some of the other specialty weekend shows (Jay Lamont, Fred Sherman, Frank Rizzo, Jr.) will stay. The lineup isn't worked out yet. Their daughter & son-in-law may stay and do a 'lifestyle show that will dovetail with sports'. Maybe they'll only review restaurants with sports bars?
