President-elect Donald Trump has named his pick to fill the fifth seat at the FCC. Olivia Trusty, an aide to Senator Roger Wicker (R-MS) will get the nomination. If confirmed

Her background is mainly on the telecom side, having worked for Verizon. So likely she will be more interested in that aspect rather than broadcasting. She obviously is opposed to net neutrality. If confirmed quickly, that would bring the FCC to full staff so repubs could begin to carry out their agenda. Stark contrast to the dems who had to wait two years before they could get their 5th commissioner confirmed.

Maybe. It'll come with a quid pro quo. Radio is not a big priority with this group. Here's a comment from the NAB:
