Al Michaels has already signed a contract with ESPN to do Monday Night Football for the duration of the new NFL contract. He will team with Joe Theismann, Suzy Kolber and Michelle Tafoya, according to an ESPN press release from a couple of months back.

The same person that informed me two months ago that ESPN/ABC would pick up the new NASCAR contract told me that ESPN was going to get the Thursday/Saturday package, but that it would be for fewer games and less money than previously reported. Main reason for this is after all the other network names were thrown out, some officials had expressed concerns with fans having to look around for coverage, espcially considering they were discussing a late season package on a new network.
