Omadelle Nelson -- Gone from KPHO

Well I'm sorry to see her go. One of the few bright spots at KPHO IMHO. I always appreciated her professionalism and ability to report and deliver her news stories in essence, effectively execute her work spot on every time. Good luck to her where ever she lands, maybe here in the Valley at another news station.

On a side note I noticed Jose Miguel is now a reporter at KPHO. He deflected from KNXV, correct?

Sadly, she seemed to be a solid general assignment reporter, who actually had medium market experience before moving to Phoenix. I'm so tired of these young reporters just out of college trying to report the news in a top 20 market. Seemingly, we're lucky if they interned in Yuma before they came to Phoenix!

I caught ASU's "Cronkite Report" on 8.3 last night. It is done by journalism students and is structured just like a network broadcast. Two or three reporters and the anchor were very capable and would match up nicely with any pro currently on the streets of Phoenix.

That's actually a sad commentary on the state of news in Phoenix, if ASU j-school students do as well as the pros.
