I got a call today. (I am FREAKED ABOUT IT TOO!!) I can't say who, where, when etc. etc. I will say....uhmmmm....SIRIUS baby!! WISH ME LUCK!!

Good luck. I hear they don't pay so well. Between 40-60K

Thanks guys! I am hoping it works out! It's up to the consultant at this point. I'll keep everyone posted. 40-60K? I am soooo in. ;D

Great news Channing.. Way to go!!!

I wish i could make 40-60K

PD

40-60k is good for Texas. Living in NYC, that is a tough salary to live on. Get in good with Stern, maybe you can live in a room in his mansion.

Good luck to you!

$40-$60.00 would be helpful to me right now...

Congrats, Channing!!! You were always the only Sirius supporter I ever knew. Good luck and keep us posted!

And you call between 40-60K not good pay???!!

Jesus, dude, I want to know where you work at.. ;)

For DFW, that's good for FT (not top of scale, but good
and average) maybe not well for DC area, especially if you
want to live in Virginia or Maryland. Maybe that's what you
meant. Channing could get a nice studio probably in
the hood in DC... :D Tell 'em you'll play some Snoop for
them....

Having worked very briefly with Channing I'm sure she'll
find a way to make it, some way, some how, like we all
do in this business. Thank goodness I had (and still do)
my spouse's salary to support us, or I'd be standing on a
street corner.

I know I never topped 30K full time when I was in this crazy
business. Not that I didn't want, or deserve more, with my
experience. It's the penny pinching management that draws
the line, unless you're big enough for a contract (which most
of us ARE NOT) or you're getting union rates (ain't happenin' in
DFW with right to work).

So if anyone wants to give me 60K for a full time gig in North
Texas, I'll take any offers.... ;D

My apologies.

I got Sirius HQ (which is in NYC) confused with XM
(which is HQ'd - or WAS) in DC. Heck, with this merger
now, I don't have a clue where everyone is, or where
they'll end up. ???

Hell, I'd take $50K for a part-time gig..."I ain't proud!" ;D

Yeah and pay 2000 a month on a box apartment, 600/mo parking. No thanks.

Channing, we haven't met... but... er... uh, can you spot me a loan? ;D

Good luck to you. Hope it works out.

Hey guys, again, thanks for the well wishes, good lucks, et al. Unfortunatly, I haven't heard a WORD from this guy since Saturday. I sent him an IM earlier and he never responded. I got my hopes up, I wish he'd never called me now. :( I am trying like hell to get some voice work to no avail. I guess I really do need to stop smoking. LOL

Thanks again to all. Love you guys dearly for your support!
