OMG! KTAR is first on the scene!!! (for nothing)

Just before noon today, Austin Hill was sitting in for Aunt Carlos (who is probably trying to move the basement full of his books no one bought).

So, KTAR had this huge exclusive, it was so exclusive that, no less than 6 times in under 10 minutes did they tell us that it was exclusive and that no other station had what they had!

What was so earth shattering?

They had a reporter...standing in front of the home of the suspect that shot the photo radar guy.

Mind you, no one was in the house, the suspect was downtown, under arrest. So, we get the poor KTAR news guy hyping up the fact that the KTAR cruiser was there and no one else was!

What earth shattering news did we learn? The guy has a jeep, and desert landscaping!

Better dust off the mantle, I smell a Pulitizer!

Later, we may find that he went to his local 7-11 from time to time and got a Big Gulp (inside sources say...Diet Coke! not sure if it is caffeine free, standby for more news!

KTAR had to be first on scene to get the neighbors' reactions. "He was a quiet neighbor. We only heard his lunatic rantings about photo radar once in a while..."

I've been glued to KTAR all day. They've been kicking a** on this story all day. They were the first to find the guy who did it and got interview in jail. Good to hear real news on the radio again.

Indeed, KTAR must be awesome... Hopefully, they must have called the Phoenix PD once they knew who it was... Lets not place KTAR as a news authority yet... Chances are Great, that they followed TV's reporting of the arrest.
