Omnia.9

Crank down that HF, got any Bass?(Like good clean Bass) Also may i request some Bobby Goldsboro? (Honey):) Maybe that preset is a little over the top, needs to be tamed. It is fatiguing..OUCH!

I've been trying to get one for a demo unit... every time Omnia tells the dealer there's at least a 4 week or more lead time with R&D. New site needs to sign on within 6 weeks. I've been patient with this, but need to do the evaluation with the client, and I can't say I blame them for wanting to hear an almost $10k box on air for a few weeks on the old site before they buy it.

In lieu of the Omnia.9, which has some features I really wanted to use, such as integrated RDS encoding, (thus saving the client money for an external RDS box) I've gone to an evaluation of the Optimod 8600 and the Vorsis Air Aura.

I'd still like to use the Omnia.9, but for some reason I can't get an evaluation unit, even though the ads have been running in Radio World for months now. I love their products, but the time frame may force my hand to go with another manufacturer.

The vendor is BGS in full disclosure. Bought an Omnia.11 last year for a different client through them. Frank, if you're reading this... I'd still like to steer $10k worth of business your way.

Omnia.9 - initial production batches have shipped some weeks ago and are on-air at various stations on several continents. Then a production issue came up whereby it was possible to get a cracked screen. No good, to say the least. Some redesign has occurred and testing to assure quality.

You'd think that manufacturing would work like this: Make a good one and copy it as needed for sales volume. I wish it was that easy. Component lead times can make you pull your hair out! And a manufacturing process that worked last week may prove unworkable today.

Best way to get an Omnia.9 is to have it on firm order with your dealer - and make sure your dealer is talking with us. As audio processor satisfaction is at least partly subjective, Omnia always offers a way to return a processor within a reasonable period for a full refund. You won't be stuck with a new Omnia processor you don't like.

BTW, we've been able to work through almost all of the Omnia.11 backorders. We sold out our 6-month production quantity in a 2-month period, so it's been a scramble to keep up.

Thanks for your confidence and patience. From the engineer comments I hear - from friends in the Southern US and in Europe - the Omnia.9 is worth being patient for.

Thanks sincerely for your support. My hard-working Telos-Omnia-Axia colleagues, and their families, appreciate it!
