Omnia1AM vs. Vorsis VP8?

Destinationradio,

Having used both (in an FM application) for several months, I might be able to offer a programmer's perspective on your decision. However, out of respect for those whose opinions differ from mine, I will simply say that I like the Vorsis VP8...and will be happy to elaborate on it in a private message. PM me if you like.

Apart from asking people's opinions, I hope you are already on the phone arranging demos of these two as well as other competing AM processors ;) at that price.

Opinions are very subjective, will largely depend on personal preference in audio, processing, exposure and experience with different processors, the market your processing for, etc. The best judge for your radio station and your set of preferences is - you!

I have not tried the Omnia ONE AM, but if its anything like its FM brother, it's very easy to get good sound out of it (IF Cornelius has worked presets for it with some backdoor changes... the factory presets are rough).

The VP-8 is more flexible, but takes time to get used to. I have one running on an AM on Long Island and it sounds very good with a nice rolling bass that doesn't dominate the mix.

Still waiting for a demo of the DSP-Mini AM..........................................................

Mike, I thought you knew you were waiting for a (good) reason ;)

Actually I was breaking chops, I know the AM has been in development for some time ;D

I've never had a problem with a demo from BW
