Does anyone remember that? Does it or anything like it still exist? Where does one go for a centrally located listing of job opportunities? ...Not a link farm, but actual job postings. Allaccess only lists a few, same with TVandradiojobs. Does anyone know of any others? I've seen only one subscription service, but I can't remember what it was, or if it was really a good source.
Does anyone know??

There are no jobs in radio, it costs the station too much money to hire more than one employee and anyway with voice tracking who needs more than one employee. I think you should consider selling shoes. People always need shoes.

Ok, for all you "wannabe" radio stars. You are too late. The radio market is gone as we know it. The day's of actually having a point and getting paid for it is a pipe dream!

The average hourly wage for a part time Chicago DJ is $10 bucks per hour. Here is what you can expect if you get a part time radio job in Chicago, now remember, Chicago is the 3rd largets radio market in the United States. So if you move to another market, it will be lower.

CBS US99 pays part-timers $15.00
The MIX and Bonniville pay $18.00
KISS, who is all voicetracked anyway so you will not be hired, but if you are you can make $12.00 per hour

Remember, you are a part timer, you will work the worst shifts possible, and will Never be hired full time. You will get No benefits or parking. Now, ya wanna be in radio? He is the alternative. You can work at Starbucks and get $10.00 per hour plus FULL benefits! Costco will hire you at $15.00 per hour and give Full benefits and you have a chance to move up and make more money! Radio was at one time known as the "Cool" industry. If you were a radio dj you were badass. But now, a bouncer at a bar has a better chance of getting laid than a radio dj. Hahaha

Like I said, sell shoes, and make it ladies shoes on commission if you want to make money
