Tough call. Seems like you would get a new airstaff to keep up with the new image. Otherwise people won't stay long enough to realize the music is different. Same jocks, same stale sleepy station.
They haven't changed the call letters either. (Your thoughts on that in the future?) Perhaps this is a cheaper way to re-launch a retooled WTPI. You give it a new image "The Track" without spending a fortune. We'll see. Coop and Curtis are great guys so if they stay good for them. But it doesn't seem to be the smart thing to do.

I'll bet that's it. It's always a shame to see a net loss of available jobs in ANY industry.
 
It could be to keep the other stations from hiring or talking to them. This way you keep them off the air, on your station and any others (non-compete not withstanding).
