on-air sound, WSTW/WTHK/WKXW

I have a question concerning WSTW's on-air sound.
It seems that they have always sounded compressed to me, but in the last two years or so (I have noticed since around January of 2004) that they are overmogulating.
It sounds like crap on any receiver, even a wide-band one.
I like the station, and when it comes to Adult CHR/Mainstream CHR have always prefered there local comunity outreach and presentation, but my ears hurt to listen to that feed.
Can't they at least lower the mogulation some and do something with the EQ? Sounds like they squeazed anything below like 60KHZ completely out of the air-chain...
is it just me?
There are a few other stations in the market that also do this.
WTHK 97.5
and 101.5 WKXW (Amazes me that the WIXM signal sounds less compressed/has less mogulation!) Makes no sense...
(Due to my DX set-up, I can receive both WIXM and WKXW and have compared the two.
While on stations that sound overmogulated, let's add out-of-market 105.7 WCHR Toms River to the picture.
Anyone that lurks around on these things the CE of DelMarVa or Nasaw and can comment?
Less Compression/Less Mogulation is better for all. Thank you.
WOGL sounds nice, but WXPN sounds the best on FM!

No, they're not overmodulating. They've always run legally.

I disagree with that, too. They run it loud to stay competitive, but it's always been a clean signal.<P ID="signature">______________

WSTW may not be overmodulating, but they are definitely overmogulating!

105.7 WCHR is licenced to and transmits from Manahawkin, about 20 miles south of Toms River.

Huh?
