ON ALREADY?

On their website, it states that Melissa is on 10am-3pm, and 3pm-8pm Peables is on "HOT 96.9"

You know what I also noticed. That Pirate Station in Roxbury (Touch 106.1) uses the same (Announcer) as "Hot 96.9"

For me, as I said before, they need to add New Urban AC music to their playlist, besides what they are playing now, if not that, at least put "The Doug Banks Show" on weekdays 3pm-7pm

Other than that, I hope they can get better and last a long time

Yes, the 13,000 songs in a row are done. Melissa and Pebbles are now doing air shifts. It is still expected that Pebbles will be moving to mornings.

But with all due respect Lauro, why do you keep banging the drums for syndicated shows? I would much rather have live and local.

all do respect lauro please inthe future check other posts before making a new one thanks.

I didn't realize there was another simular post. Yeah, I know what you mean with the local shows, I would rather that too, but I think "The Doug Banks Show" would be great for this station, especially with the excelent inner city coverage signal that covers most Urban Neighborhoods of Boston (Dorchester, Mattapan, Roxbury, and South End). I'm telling you, a show like that and they'll be set (Bye Bye "Jamn 94.5" and Bye Bye Pirate Stations)!!!

Hey Lauro,

Look at the affiliate list at http://www.dougbanksradioshow.com/aboutus/
And tell me how many Top 10 Markets you find there with mostly white audiences like you know we have here in Metro Boston?
This show does very well with large black audiences and not so good with white audiences. You can see this just looking down this list. Chicago and Washington DC are the only top ten markets on that list which both have huge black audiences compared to us. A full class B FM in this city just needs to appeal to many more people than that to be able to sell advertising. Being number one in Dorchester, Mattapan and Roxbury just isn't going to cut it. You need Weston, Newton, Brookline, Andover, Billerica, Cohassat and about fifty other towns to succeed. Also they don't give away sindicated programming you buy it. So why would you buy this if you knew you were going to have trouble selling it? You'd probably be better off coming up with your own fit for this market trying to keep a wider audience happy. Good see you answered all the questions yourself this time! Good job.

Just sampled an hour. In a word: Ucchhh.

I might use this as a placeholder for a small AM (WILD, or the like), but that's about it. Pay for it, never! It's barter or buh-bye.
