On The Radio (An unscientific survey)

KTCK, KRLD, occasionally the morning or late afternoon stock picker shows on 1190, sometimes KSKY. I'll probably add 103.3 once baseball gets rolling.

On Sirius, The Roadhouse, Willie's Place, Bluesville, 70's on 7 for American Top 40 mainly, and more and more the Comedy Channels on 103-04-05.

KQRO 99.9
KLUV 98.7
KTRX 95.7 (Pretty good Talk if you ask me :D )
KZPS 92.5
KEOM 88.5
KVTT 1110
KFXR 1190 (For The Classic Country)
KGVL 1400
KGAF 1580
KTRX 1650 (Same as 95.7)

I should've included KGAF. It's one of the stations that I listen to online.

1190 still plays music ? Everytime I tune in it's a talk show.

At night its usually Classic Country. Sometimes in the afternoon too.

I also forgot to add that 530 at night has some good relaxing music.
Just the other day they played San Fransisco
(If your going to San Fransisco, be sure to wear...)

KTCK late afternoons, KRLD at night or KERA (BBC WS) depending on whether what they're airing holds my interest. Will spin by KKXT or KDGE to see if they're playing any good songs.

I also listen a lot to KOA out of Denver at night if the signal is good; it's hit and miss.

What time does WBAP stop broadcasting in HD? Why would they not continue to do it all day long?

Or I guess I should ask, do broadcast HD all day and then cut the HD feed before the flip to night pattern?[/i]

WBAP stopped broadcasting in HD over a year ago.

And that's when I turned them off. Citadel I guess couldn't keep up with the Ibiquity royalty checks!

Why would you stop listening to WBAP just because they got rid of HD?
Seems like a silly reason to tune out a station, especially since they have an FM now, which probably sounds better than the HD ever did anyway.

Its probably good that 'BAP dropped the flawed HD system, not only have they gained lost coverage, they no longer splatter the hell out of the AM band

My radio has a cassette adapter plugged into it 90 percent of the time, and I listen to my iPod. On those rare occasions when I listen to radio, it's either KJKK/100.3 FM or KRLD/1080 (for severe weather, and now that Brad Barton's gone, probably not even then).

I may be 50 years old, but I am like those "kids" who prefer to get their information from other sources than (a) rip and read radio or (b) someone else's regurgitated opinions. And I play what I want on my iPod, so I'm not held hostage by some PD in Charlotte trying to program a radio station for DFW.

Mornings are either Musers or NPR's Morning edition,
Midday is all Norm and BAD radio
Afternoon is All Things Considered. GAC, or the Hardline
Late night is Savage even though I'm not nearly as conservative as he is- the guy is a head case, but he is an interesting head case who isn't afraid to say outrageous things. Keeps me awake driving home after a long day.

At any point if I want music, it is ipod, cds, or streaming Pandora from the iphone (unlimited data plan- it is nice to be grandfathered in.) When KHYI had a respectable sound quality, they got about two hours a day from me. KXT is appealing if I'm in the right sort of mood.

If the wife and kids are in the car, it is KLTY or radio disney. I try not to let the wife and kids in the car.

In some ways, when he gets off politics, Savage reminds me a lot of Jean Shepherd (on WOR for several decades). He has cited Shep as an influence.

KIIS for morning drive because Kraddick annoys me slightly less than Hal Jay (I flip to KRLD, KSKY, or KLIF during the music)

WBAP or KSKY for Davis, Rush, Prager, Levin, Ingraham, and Miller

Occasionally 1190 if P&K are live, in a good mood, and no one is playing horn music under their talk segments

KXT is my first choice for music; The Edge and The Eagle if I'm desperate

KERA if they're just telling me stories and not talking politics

...and my own podcast (for quality control purposes)

92.1 KTFW most of the day
96.3 KSCS
92.5 KZPS

I also listen so all the sports station when there is sports to report. can't stand all the stict

I listen to HD because it sounds just like you are there in the studio.

Since I spent time IN THAT STUDIO (WBAP) from 1997-2001, I guess I could be abit spoiled!

Sometimes I used to listen to it off the Android phone via an App and plugged into my car stereo because it sounded better!
