With KSOC constant drop,(now a 1.6), how much longer is Radio One going to stick with this current format?

Since they are owned by Radio One, a switch from Urban has two chances: slim and fat.

Does Radio One own any stations that are not "black community" (i.e. full service or gospel) or Urban formats?

Well, they're not going to get anywhere with a crappy signal.

I do agree Charles, but their urban gospel in Atlanta was a success and it was on a crappy signal. Even if they don't flip it, at least tweak the format to a more up to date urban ac.

Did KRNB get a new antenna??

As long as they are making budget and meeting the goals that the PD, GM, and GSM set forth in their primary demo, then things are not going to change. They may be a 1.6 12+ but if they are top 5 in their primary target demo, then its the status quo.

Yes. WNOU Indianapolis is mainstream CHR. I'm not sure about any others.

They could go talk. I'm on WERE-AM in Cleveland. It was conservative talk with ethnic brokerd (Croat, Russian, Polka). Radio one switched it to a national Urban Talk with Rev. Al Sharpton in morning drive.

I think if they did that it be rather interesting and different from all the other urban music stations.

Just my .02.
