Once again, it's time to change the presets.......

I bet WSRS will go Christmas pretty soon as well. They usually do.

Happy Thanksgiving! Just heard an announcement on WSRS that they will flip to all Christmas music at 9am tomorrow (Friday) morning. So WSRS goes Friday morning and Oldies 98-9 is planning to go Monday morning.

How many times can you stand to hear Barking Jingle Bells before you BREAK the radio?

If the clients didn't buy "All X-mas music All the time" we wouldn't have two stations programming it like this. If it didn't bring in money they wouldn't do it. Do they care what the listeners want or do they want the money? :D

EXACTLY!

It's quite possible that Oldies 98.9 in Worcester will beat the start of the WSRS flip by 9 hours.

Worcester's Oldies 98.9 flipped to all Christmas at 12:01am Friday morning, starting with John Mellancamp's I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus.

It looks like all the AC stations in New England have made the flip except for WMJX, WPLM, and WEBE. WMJX and WEBE have been playing SOME Christmas music, but I don't think WPLM has played any as of yet. I know that they often do the flip, but I think it's usually later. I think this may be the first year that WMAS has made the flip.

Mix 104-1/Boston and Worcester's WXLO have sprinkled in the occasional Christmas tune. WXLO played The Twelve Pains Of Christmas around 8:10-ish this morning.

Wow, WSRS did something unusual last night. They ran the NON-Christmas version of Delilah. I know the Christmas version has already started. Do you think this was just a mistake?

I noticed that when I happened to be scanning the dial. But I can't stand Delilah so I didn't stick around too long. Could have been a mistake.

You have to admit this entire thread is quite amusing.

TIME TO CHANGE MY PRESETS...........
I have 14 of them on just the FM band. Why would I need to?

I CAN'T STAND CHRISTMAS MUSIC.........
Oh, another station has gone all Christmas. 1st song was (title) at (exact time.)
Wait, another one at (exact time.)

Reminds me of those who complain about a radio or TV show but can tell you who was on and what they said.
If you hate it so much, don't listen and stop complaining.
My Dad was one of those, if he didn't have something to be miserable about, he was miserable. :)

January, 2010
Although our advertisers and many listeners requested we play Christmas music, we decided not to.
Sorry but we have to let you go.

Yup, and it brings us all closer together for 6 weeks out of the year when we can all complain together.

December 26th: See ya on November 7th, 2010. :D

It would appear that a lot of the stations that were doing it over the Thanksgiving holiday have reverted back, such as WZID, WMAS, WHAI, and WJJR. I wonder if they'll do it on weekends until Christmas.

OMG, see what you've started AGAIN.
Why the obsession with who is and who isn't playing Christmas music?

December 25th and it's assorted traditions, including radio stations playing Christmas....ah....Holiday music seems to come around once a year. Go figure!

Can we drive a stake through this and move on. Just wondering

Can someone please pass the stake onto somebody on the Providence board; it is needed for the "WALE 990" thread... ;D
