Looks like the FCC finally caught up with KBBB 14/26 Las Vegas/Boulder City NV, which started as K25HU Kingman. Not quite justice, but enough to shut the station down.
Someone reported them last fall, and the FCC sent licensee Gerald Benavides a demand for proof that the station was constructed, with a requirement that he swear, under penalty of law, that the station had been constructed. Benavides swore that the station was constructed, and sent a copy of an invoice. The invoice was for equipment for a VHF station, even though Benavides was constructing UHF stations. Somehow, that got by the FCC, but Benavides also claimed that he had to take the station silent on 4/30/2011 (it had never been on).
Fast forward to 2012, and as of 4/30, Benavides had never filed for resumption of operations. Twelve months have now elapsed since he reported taking the station off the air, and presto! the license is canceled due to no service within 12 consecutive months.
One down, about a half dozen to go.
