one more challege!

hey there. you guys were so good yesterday at figuring out what that song was i thought maybe
i could give you another challenge....
this would be harder as it is a instrumental, no lyrics as clues.
i would say it would be late 60's or early 70's and i always think of it as an irish jig. it's very bouncy and
the instrument figuring prominently is i think an electric organ (if i put a fiddle in it's place in my head it sounds
like an irish jig). the best clue i have is that i heard it a long time ago when i saw a commercial, trailer for a movie called 'Death to Smoochie'.
now, i went online and found a list of songs from the soundtrack and checked them all and none of them was the song i was looking
for, so it appears to me to only be in the trailer for the movie (which i sat through when i was on tv last year for the specific purpose of
seeing the movie credits and possible a name to that song).
i don't think there's any way that you can get this one but if anyone can...
thanks!

Hello ker...

The song you are looking for is: "Joy" by Apollo 100. It was written by Johann Sebastian Bach but of course Apollo 100 does it (well... did it) fresh justice back in 1972.

The song can be found on Rhino records CD collection 'Super Hits Of The 70's/Have A Nice Day' volume #7.

Sooooo..... HAVE A NICE DAY!!!
DJ Alan- yup I may play a current mix of dance and pop on my pirate station The WHORE... I played Apollo 100 on my pirate station I had when I was just a small lad with 100mw to burn.

that's amazing! i really thought no one would know this one! i checked on rhapsody for the song... i found it and that is exactly the song!! cool beans! i had no idea there was this massive fountain of musical knowledge out there... no lyrics or anything
i can't thank you enough... i had a bunch of old eclectic songs on a tape that i lost and now i can find them and
get them back again... thanks again!

Funny, I never thought of that song as an Irish jig but I know what you mean. BTW, the Bach piece that it's derived from is called "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring".
