One Radio Lane no more.

CBS is moving WDOK and Q 104 from One Radio Lane over to the Halle Building.

So now all 4 of CBS' stations (DOK, Q, WNCX, and 92.3 The Fan) will be under 1 physical roof for the first time ever.

Is it really a conspiracy? I don't believe anyone is conspiring or plotting against anyone. That's the definition of conspiracy.

Speculation? Yes.

Cumulus is acquiring. They're buddies with CBS. CBS and Cumulus have that Sports network starting in Jan. CBS, despite it's claims to not be looking to sell, has contradicted itself that it has said it would look to divest stations outside the Top 20 markets. And, CBS wants Sony Pictures. How to fund?? Sell radio, which is certainly worse for wear. Sony Pictures a better compliment to CBS's portfolio. Cumulus has Toledo and Cinci. They want Cleveland. They've made no bones about it. Cumulus VP Sports/NT? Cleveland's Mike McVay. Will it come to pass? Maybe, maybe not.

It will be weird to not see a station occupy One Radio Lane after today. WDOK moved on Tuesday and WQAL moved today (Thursday as of this writing). That building on St. Clair has been home to many stations, including WRMR and WLTF.

One one hand, it is more convenient to have all four CBS stations in one building, and it puts 'DOK and 'QAL back in Downtown. Q used to be at the Keith Building, which is close to the Halle Building, and 102 used to be over at Reserve Square.

Those were always some close quarters at 1RL. I'm surprised that CBS didn't move everything under one roof years ago.

If anything, this may be a sign that CBS can't sell any of their stations (at least right now), so they may as well put everything under 1 roof.

It'll cut down expenses if nothing else (why pay light bills, etc. for 2 buildings?)

Not so sure. Big rumor is Cumulus ready to swoop down.
