One Song I'm Curious About in Z100's Playlist

"Bring Em' Out" by T.I.

This song never did chart on Top 50 CHR, and this was LONG before T.I. came out with his 3 back-to-back Top 5 Pop hits. Besides, this isn't even a Pop-friendly song really, it's straight up Hip-Hop. I'm kind of curious as to why Z100 spins this in their recurrent playlist. Maybe it tested well in NYC, or personal PD preference?

this was a huge NY hit, was constantly played on Z when it was current, and it was a big MTV attraction, which led to the duet with Justin Timberlake...
"Power" sounds like THE comeback record for Kanye West, by the way...

Wow, that is pretty interesting, I never knew that! And I agree, Power does sound like Kanye's comeback record. Unfortunately, it's already dropping on Urban and Rhythmic.

"Bring 'Em Out" - T.I. - #90 on Z100 New York's Top 100 Of 2005.
Reached #9 on Billboard's Hot 100; #6 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip Hop Airplay Songs; #4 on Billboard's Hot Rap Tracks.
Song released in October 2004; peak positions reached in February 2005.

I'm guessing that Z100 has re-added the track recently since T.I.'s been in the "celebrity news cycle" - free from jail, some new music (a Keri Hilson duet, "Got Your Back", has failed to make an appearance on Z100).
One of the duets mentioned above that came about with Justin Timberlake - "Dead & Gone" (from Winter/Spring 2009) - has also reappeared on Z100, along with "Whatever You Like" (from Summer/Fall 2008). Haven't yet heard "Live Your Life" - the Rihanna duet (from Fall 2008/Winter 2009) or the duet with Justin Timberlake "My Love" (from Fall 2006), but they may be on the way.
