Someone mentioned below that like football, NASCAR is typically a once a week sport...an "appointment" sport I beleive it was said.
NASCAR is available up here on the radio and as muc as I am not a NASCAR fan, my father is (and has been for many many years). We listened to a race on the radio and we both said it just didn't hold our attention...it just want the same.
One way I think NASCAR could make it better is, when my father goes to NASCAR when it hits NH, he brings a scanner. He tunes into his fave drivers pit crew and listens in. XM designates a number of channels for each baseball game...NASCAR could designate a channel to a driver and play their pit crew in conjunction with listeneing to the race. That way you could listen to Jeff Gordon's pit while still tuning into the race. Granted if there are 50 drivers, then the amunt of needed channels would be fairly large. Maybe too large to commit to one (and seasonal) sport. Possibly taking the top ten drivers and committing 10 or 20 channels to this?
Just an idea
