One way WTKK can keep Hannity and Graham

Since WTKK signed a contract with Graham (I forget for how long) and they'd
like to keep Hannity too, I'd think, here's an idea:

3-5 pm Sean Hannity

5-7 pm Michael Graham
(then Severin, Ingraham)<P ID="signature">______________

I don't think WTKK-96.9 could get away with broadcasting only two hours of Sean Hannity live from 3 to 5 P.M.

Either that or they'd have to push him back to 1 am (!)
As it stands now:
Imus--renewed contract for a few more years
Barnicle, Eagan and Braude--both are local shows. They COULD pick up Ingraham's
feed live from 10-noon, let's say, but where would Barnicle go? (While
Ingraham does do her show in late mornings, she also does a couple hours
at night for the benefit of WABC and WTKK)

O'Reilly--prob not going anywhere
M. Graham--could stay 3-7, unless they decide to chop off first half of his
show and go to Hannity. I'm not sure how long the contract with Graham is
for. Of course it would make sense for them to get a full 4 hours of him
(getting all they paid for).
But where would Hannity go?

7-10--Severin
10-1--Ingraham. So far no _official_ word from WTKK, but both Globe and Herald
said her show would air then. I think she has a dedicated following here.

1-5 am--John and Jeff--they could put Hannity here but J&J fans would be
disappointed. And hard politics usually doesn't run in the wee hours,
with the notable exception of WBAL re-running the previous day's Rush show.

So...WRKO? (They have run him before, and also ABC radio's John Batchelor,
recently displaced. Boston's ABC Talk affiliate?)

...WTTT? Maybe this might make them finally show up in ratings...

Who else?

If WRKO-680 gets Sean Hannity, there's likely going to be no way he's going to run live in the afternoons. Howie Carr's show is too successful.

It's possible Hannity may disappear from the local dial for a while. But once WKOX-1200 gets their new signal, I expect they'll dump Air America, pick-up the syndicated talk shows from sister company Premiere Networks (Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, George Noory, Phil Hendrie, etc.), and likely run Hannity live (although Hannity is not distributed by Premiere, many Clear Channel-owned talk stations do run his show live in the afternoon).

But there is a wild card: If Entercom gets ABC Radio (which distributes Hannity), then Carr could well get dumped in favor of Hannity.

Oh definitely no way that would happen, but I could see them putting him
on at 7 pm. Maybe even cut down Taste to one hour, run that 7-8, and
a two-hour Hannity at 8. Remember when Hannity was taken off (in favor
of Savage) 'RKO had said they wanted something live (Savage) rather than
a show tape delayed by 4 hours. There were ongoing news events like the
D.C. snipers and the war, and they wanted something live.

So WTKK (after a brief stay at WAMG) picked up Hannity and put him on
with a 7 hour delay. A couple weeks back, you had the Miami airline
passenger story "breaking" at 3 or 4 pm; you had the 3:30 pm annoucement
that a court wouldn't stay Tookie's execution--all these events wound up
being covered as live news events on Hannity's show, but you didn't hear them till 7 hours later on WTKK. "Breaking news now..." Yes, breaking back
at 3:30...

WRKO running Hannity at 7 pm would still be tape delayed but not delayed
by as much. They would be able to boast that they have the shows for
the #1 and #2 rated hosts (by number of listeners), Rush and Hannity...
and isn't Savage #3 or 4?

Still don't know if Premiere would take Rush off 'RKO but it they
were to dump libtalk I could see them getting Beck, Hendrie.
Noory? Who knows...in that scenario, could stay at 'RKO or could
go to WXKSKS.

Yikes! What happens then, Carr at 7 pm on 'RKO? I don't know...even if that does happen I'd think Entercom would want local guy Carr on and then put
Hannity on after him...but who knows.

Blame WTKK for running so much GD tape-delayed crap.

Rush and Coast aren't going anywhere. 1200 could go 500kW, but it doesn't guarantee ratings. I've only heard of one situation in Bakersfield where Premiere actually preferred stick over ratings.

ABCRN isn't part of the deal.

Entercom would be taking over ABC, not the other way around. ABC would NOT be calling the shots.
