Online Oldies from Philadelphia

It seems to be the trend in Philly for retired Radio Legends to sort of stay in the biz with Online Oldies Radio...We now have HyLit Radio.com and RadioPhillyStyle.com. All I can say is It is great...Maybe they can all make a decent living with Dances and Personal Appearances without the hassles of Terrestial Radio...I am in West Virginia but have a fondness for the Philly sound..So,I'll be listening to all of it.

You might also enjoy www.wamsoldies.com.
A resurrection of a station that was on 1380 AM that served nearby Wilmington, Del. by a nearby daytimer, former WNRK 1260 Newark, Del.

I'd sure like to hear radiophillystyle, but every time I bring it up and click on the listen live link, nothing happens. This happens on my iMac, and my PC.

Any ideas, anyone?

Don-
I only get a red X where the the listen now button is, but I watch my cursor, and when it changes to a hand I click it and get right in. I don't know if that will help your situation or not.

a posting from the most unknowledgeable p.c. person on this board : the problem might be related to a pop-up blocker ... i cannot use the site , either...

I'm getting all the stations to stream! WAMS sounds really good!

I had to add the 365 skin to my WMP, but, it plays great. Nice job, Diamond Jim, et al. Station sounds great.

My father grew up in the Philly area and really enjoys the radiophillystyle.com stream--so do I! I get the "red X" over the "Listen Live" link also... 'Just clicked on it, and up comes a new window from Live365 asking me to download and install their "Live365 Tuner"--forget that--just choose "use different player"--but it MUST be one associated with .pls files (e.g. WinAmp) which I have installed on my PC. It comes right up and sounds very good (at 96k in stereo). 'No need for the "365 skin" (which associates Windows Media Player with a WinAmp streaming mp3 file extention (NO NO NO--keep your hands off my mp3 Bill Gates). Live365 will also pop-up a new window that displays song and artist info. It can be closed at any time without affecting the stream.

NICE JOB on this site... And a very well done broadband stream. I'm starting to get used to great oldies on the net since I'm getting to be TOO DAMN OLD for "big radio" to care about. :-*

THANKS radiophillystyle for a great service!
