Problem is I can't get a strong enough signal when the music stops to get an ID or even a clue as to where that station is.

Is it possible to line this up with a stream? Sao Paulo and/or XEOY?

Thanks to some nice guy slipping me a little present of a nasty virus. I will not be online sharing of anything

My most memorable moment was hearing a faint XEPE at around midnight or 1am PDT one day last October or thereabouts. I missed TOH, but matched audio (including Mexican PSA announcements) with my PL-398mp tuned to 1700 (a local - transmitter about 15.6 miles south) sitting next to me.
I'd actually like to see a good TP-specialized node from eastern Australia or northern New Zealand. Stations I'd expect to hear on a nightly basis include, but are not limited to: 1700 XEPE & KVNS, 1670 KHPY, 1610 Anguilla, 1580 KMIK & KBLA, 1540 KMPC, 1170 KCBQ, 1130 KSDO, 1070 KNX, 1020 KTNQ, 910 KECR, 760 KFMB, 720 KDWN, 640 KFI, and dozens of others. Basically, I'd expect nightly reception of just about every west-coast USA station that sends at least 10-15 kW ERP to the southwest, and frequent reception of high-band lower-power stations, like the 1 kW 1620-1700 stations. I know of someone in New Zealand that hears a few of the stations I've mentioned nightly year round using an ultralight and 100m wire antenna (or several-foot loop), so I'd expect a good node to soundly beat his reception.![]()
