The discussion of online SDRs got me to thinking, are there any that will receive above 30 Mhz, especially FM? Thanks for any info.
There seem to be some that receive VHF and UHF ham bands, but not FM broadcast. The discussion of online SDRs got me to thinking, are there any that will receive above 30 Mhz, especially FM? Thanks for any info.
There's always that free Global Tuners account that gives FM access, but it can be incredibly glitchy at times. Best to use it on a computer. The discussion of online SDRs got me to thinking, are there any that will receive above 30 Mhz, especially FM? Thanks for any info.
Waiting 20 seconds or so for the station to switch drives me nuts. There's always that free Global Tuners account that gives FM access, but it can be incredibly glitchy at times. Best to use it on a computer.
Bob Hawkins' Global Tuners rig (like his SDR rig) in Edinburgh IN is pretty good and he points the antenna different directions. All I can think of is the Global Tuners receivers. The SDRs on Kiwi and other sites were designed for hams for HF and morphed into use for AM DX as well. My local "RemoteSDRClient" SDR in Kittitas used to have FM and VHF capability up to 162 MHz, but that went away about two years ago. It was great to have not only FM (logged Es on that receiver), but also was able to hear Kittitas and Yakima PD/Sheriff action as well as several NOAA stations and school bus barns in the afternoons.
We need KiwiSDRs for FM! But not in packed markets full of translators, IBOC hash, and LPFMs. I.E., ones out in the rural countryside.![]()
Yes, sign me up! Sadly, my guess is that the online FM tuners probably violate copyright or something. We need KiwiSDRs for FM! But not in packed markets full of translators, IBOC hash, and LPFMs. I.E., ones out in the rural countryside.![]()
Technically I guess you could say they all do but I don't believe that's why there aren't more FM Global Tuners sitesYes, sign me up! Sadly, my guess is that the online FM tuners probably violate copyright or something.
I wonder if maybe this is a technical issue or something?Technically I guess you could say they all do but I don't believe that's why there aren't more FM Global Tuners sites
