Online Streams

A couple people on here constantly post online streams of FM radio stations, which I really enjoy.
for many of these, especially a lot of international ones, I can open them in winamp or windows media player.
But for many in the US, especially Clear Channel's such as WKQI and WALC to name a couple of stations I've tried with the stream center at www.thestreamcenter.com, they open in a little pop-up player I can't control.
the disadvantage for me is that I can't lower the volume on these pop-up players, and I usually turn the volume down as low as possible and keep the station as background noise in winamp or windows media player.

Can I open CC's online streams without using their annoying online players? I seriously hate these things.
 
Well, if you could crack the code, but CC and other companys are making that more difficult, especially since they seem to change their I.P several times a weak... basically if Matti at the Stream Center, and Chrles here on the board cant come up with the back door streams, we are pretty much SOL,,, but you should be able to change the volume on the pop up players.
 
Why not just stream the station from the station's website. On Clear Channel sites, the pop-up window with the player is embedded WMP. It has the same volume control as a larger version of Windows Media Player.
 
I think the poster is referring to the Ads shown just before the actual webcast for the station starts. The volume for the ads are usually louder, making the ad that much more annoying ;D
