Are there any online tuners that still exist now that DXTUNERS is gone :(

Don't know. I am doing my DX'ing by streaming, now that the FCC has approved legalized jamming. Streaming may not be as much fun, but for me it was always about the content, not the hobby.

I like listening to streams but its just not the same. I've actually figured a new subset to DXing...all the trranslators I've complained about become my fixed-frequency DX machines during good openings, relaying anything but the originating station!

Hi

From what i've heard, most of those DX tuner setups were very very poor for actual DXing ???

I'd love to set one up here but its too cost prohibitive. I'd set up an ICOM PCR-1500 connected to a FM broadcast dipole which are simply brilliant for DXing Band 1 through to Band 3. I

It would enable people the chance to DX from here in Southern NSW - an area with only 8 or so local FMs, so plenty of empty channels for DXing ;D

You know, I once considered buying a subscription to DXTuners. Man, I'm glad I didn't since they canceled the service. Do you know if they returned everyones subscription money or did they just leave town and run so to speak?

Whew, I'm glad that I decided not to re-up for this year back in March!

The trouble was that my firewall blocked out certain sites (the best ones - naturally) and you couldn't spend too long without someone else popping up. So, I elected to let my subscription go. Had no idea the the whole thing was going down for good. It is a shame.

Somewhere, theres a list of active tuners.
(current list)

I don't know where it is, though.
