Only 2 Nashville FM stations left yet to stream

Now they that The Buzz and V are streaming, now WFSK 88.1 and WTNT 98.9 of the FM Nashville area stations need to stream. I want to especially hear what smooth jazz sounds like in Nashville, it being famous for country music stars. It'd be ironic to say the least.

icy...we don't all wear boots and big cowboy hats.
101.1 was smooth jazz for years before flipping to CCM...then to urban. sorry you missed it.
98.9 is a Lebanon station, and has no real signal in Nashville: they don't target Nashville

I agree about 98.9. Their signal is too weak, and too far east, to really be considered a "Nashville" station. And just because they carry the Sounds (maybe they are the Sounds' flagship, I don't know) does not make them a "Nashville" station. And their calls are WANT, not WTNT.

But if you want something on 98.9 streaming from Nashville, there is always the possibility that WRFN-LPFM, also broadcasting on 98.9, might be streaming by now. Maybe even more likely than WANT-FM! (They broadcast from Pasquo, and I live here in Pegram, and I can barely hear them!)

They carry the Titans too - which I've always thought was odd since KDF comes in just fine here. I agree, and they probably would also, that they are not a Nashville station. They are focused 100% on Wilson County. When there is not local programming on, they run the same "Real Country" service that WHIN in Gallatin subscribes to.

the owners of WHIN used to be partners with susan bay over at WANT...hence the reel country format during that time..as i understand it..they have parted ways...apparently..they no longer.....here it comes..."WANT"ed it.... ;D....

For having an ANT sized signal they sure seem to be able to overpower weaker rodents like WNFN rating wise...:)

WRFN has been streaming since they went on the air in April of 2005.

http://stream.butler.net:8000 - 48kBps mp3 stream (load in Winamp, VLC or whathaveya)

http://stream.butler.net:9890 - 24kBps HE-AAC stream (much better fidelity, also works in Winamp or VLC)

RFN is simulcasting on WBUZ's FMeXtra channel X1 as well as Comcast Channel 10's SAP channel in Davidson County.
