Only 29 Days To Go!

Is it your boithday?

...umm, Dr. Laura's exclusive debut on Sirius XM?? ... What is so special about this day?

I believe it may be the return of gypsy dance music along with all Wayne Newton marathon weekends followed by the Chipmonks and the famous barking dogs singing Jingle Bells, post holidays.

Well... given that most any change in Orlando has usually been a disappointment for me I'm sure this one will be no different. Since I moved here 6 years ago:

1. WCFB went from 1970's leaning R&B format (my favorite) to mostly 1980's R&B.
2. Lost O-Rock and...
3. ...thought maybe WOCL would end up being oldies but was "delighted" with the sounds of disco.
4. Lost Alternative Weekends on WTKS to a watered down version of WHTQ.
5. WMFE dropped the classical music.
6. WNUE dropped the Reggaeton and became a snooze-fest.
7. The decent pirate radio stations got busted.
8. WLOQ gets rid of the face and voice of the station (Patricia James) and started playing Coldplay????

I've got plenty of open spots on my radio presets now.... but I'll just listen to my phone through the car radio since I have Pandora, Slacker, and thousands of good internet stations. When I was younger I always felt that radio catered to an older audience. I'm 37 now and unfortunately I still feel the same way.

Still a better media market than most. TV and Newspaper are strong in O-town.
