only in rhode island

wpro will do anything for ratings. It's been proven by there actions.
1. they hire a two time felon. only in rhode island would such an action be allowed, because he fits the ideology of our wonderful
leaders.(ha ha) they don't think theres anything wrong with it.

2.they hire a fired announcer from a major market. (only in rhode island)
a man who will do anything to be number 1 in ratings, because he's no fool. he knows without good ratings theres no job.
he lets his wife take the fall for the ratings scandal, and expects us to believe he knew nothing about it.(only in rhode island)

and with all this wpro conducts business as if nothing happened because they got away with just a slap on the wrist.(only in rhode island)

the time is ripe for some station to put together a live local talk radio station with some of the best talk hosts currently
in the area biting at the bit to present real professional programming.

only in rhode island could a station with the wpro lineup succeed, because there isn't any one gm with the guts to compete head to head
with them.

WPRO'S owner, Citadel Broadcasting, has lost so much of its value
the New York Stock Exchange is threatening to delist it. I expect
changes any day at that station. And if they fired all the talk show
hosts it would be fine with me. The issues Rhode Island faces are
serious. But WPRO nurtures the myth that it's caused by illegal immigrants.
The worst of the bunch is Dan Yorke who speaks disrespectfully to his
producer and mangles the language. The other day he repeatedly used the word
"bibliography" when he meant "biography." This is a man who needs to
listen more than he talks.

Dan Yorke is an absolute horror to listen to. I can't believe he is still on the air. His long silences, constant repetition and high pitched tirades are like fingernails on a blackboard.

you cant be serious when you say this stuff dosent happen in other markets.......

Holland may be able to correct me; but weren't Liddy, Marion Barry and Ollie North all on the same station in DC?
