Ontario/New York to Indiana Skip

I live about 5 miles north of Louisville, KY in southern Indiana and I picked up the 2nd E-Skip that I am aware of within a two week period. This time, the stations were from Canada or in the proximity. It occurred between 3:30pm-5pm EDT. For a while, Ottawa's Top 40 station CIHT-FM (HOT 89.9) sounded like a local. The signal did not fade for about 20 minutes and the reception meter was measured nearly at full strength. Here is a list of other stations that I discovered during this E-Skip: CBO-FM 91.5 Ottawa (CBC1 News), CFRK-FM 92.3 Fred-FM Fredericton, New Brunswick (Classic Hits) and WVLF-FM Mix 96.1 Norwood, NY (Adult Contemporary). I also picked up a Dance station called Free Radio on 95.3 FM, a K-Love station at 101.7 FM (perhaps from Pulaski, NY), A CBC station at 102.7 FM and a station playing Mariah Carey's Someday at 104.5 FM. However, I wasn't able to get a clear ID from those stations. On television, Channels 2 and 3 were trying to come in as well. Channel 2 sounded like a foreign language program during the 4pm hour then I heard a little English after 5pm. Channel 3 was airing a recap of the World Cup. Unfortunately, the reception made it difficult to capture an ID.

Nice, you're reeling in few of my locals.

There's several possibilities for your CBC 102.7 catch. Blanc Sablon or Chicoutimi in Quebec carries Radio One programming, while Radio Two programs are broadcast out of Halifax on that frequency.

Given you're time frame, Radio One would be playing regional Quebec based programs 'Homerun" (local Montreal) or 'Breakaway' (outside of Montreal region). Radio Two would be carrying the national AAA program 'Drive'.
