OOH Am I Frustated

What a pain in the... I've been trying for four days to get a show recorded and it's just
a case of one thing after the other. Audacity decided it wanted to start crashing on me, a clean reinstall fixed that. Then my stupid anti-virus software decided to start randomly downloading updates, which spiked the CPU load and created stuttering in the audio, of course. And just when I got that issued resolved, Acer Video Conference Manager somehow got in its head that it was okay to fire up at random even though I had the damned thing listed as not to be started up with the computer. Said program, of course, took control of my sound card, repeatedly crashing Breakaway.

Now that I have that fixed, I'm just waiting to see what goes wrong next. Just thought I'd let
everyone know why this is taking so long.

It’s best if you want to listen to internet radio a lot that you get a dedicated internet radio receiver. Or if you don’t do that, get a Mac. I’ve never had s--t like you talk about happen on any Mac I’ve owned.

I think, repeat, think, I have everything nailed down now. A friend who's been working in the field of computer repair for nearly 25 years helped me clean a lot of junk out and that's doing wonders for me. I should have a show done today or tomorrow at the latest; I've dropped the Live365 station and am going to do two things from now on. One- offer the show as a direct download at 256K. Two- I'm going to try Loudcaster and see if I like their service.

Everyone here has been so patient and helpful, I just want to thank you all once again.

I have most excellent news to share. I just got the entire Time-Life AM Gold series from a Dollar General store, of all places, they had every CD in the series for just $5 each. I figured, hey, it's only money. I'm ripping them at a furious pace and this represents a major upgrade of my station's music library. I've dropped a few cuts into the playlist for the next show already. And yes, the cashier gave me a funny look, until I explained the situation to her.
