Oh Yeah, Almost Forgot: FCC Adds $7K To Pirate's Fine
The FCC fixes an oversight and reaffirms an additional $7,000 fine on BRONX FM pirate SHAWN DEROUX. The Commission's initial Forfeiture Order against DEROUX on OCTOBER 13 affirmed $10,000 in fines for operating the pirate station but left out an additional $7,000 for refusing to allow a station inspection.

The order released today (11/6) reaffirms all $17,000 in fines.

Did they have a search warrant? If they didn't I don't see what the issue is. However, if these noodleheads refused entry and the agents had a valid warrant, thats one thing.

However, this begs the question, did the FCC agents show up with local authorities? Why didn't they kick in the door if they had a warrant??

Paul,
What frequency were they on?
