In 1995, when KILT and the now defunct KIKK-FM along with it's AM counterparts, we were introduced to the Scott on air computer, which in my opinion, is one of the best. Having stated that, it is only as good as the data which is loaded into it. I was on the air, when at the end of the spot set, the KILT Jingle was set to go, getting us back to music. Imagine my surprise when the jingle was a 95.7 KIKK jingle. What happened? Somebody had inadvertently loaded a KIKK jingle onto a number that was reserved for KILT. It was a mistake. It is very possible that a similar event has taken place. You haven't heard it since, because more than likely, the mistake was rectified. That U2 song could have been loaded for Mix 96.5 or some bumper music for the talk shows on 650 KIKK or 610 KILT.
Three years ago, i had loaded Frank Sinatra's I"ve Got You Under My Skin" into the ENCO computer so I could play it on KNTH for the 5:20AM oldie. That same number used to be for something on 100.7 KKHT every Sunday morning at 6AM. Traffic never pulled that number from the ENCO computer. As a result for several Sunday mornings in a Frank Sinatra was heard on 100.7 KKHT. Finally, somebody caught it. I could only imagine if the song had been "Witchcraft."
