OOPS!

This morning, Moby admitted that after waking up, instead of taking an energy pill (one that is a big advertiser on his show, mind you) he mistakenly took one of the pills in the bottle next to it. Yes... he took an Ambien! And he said what had happened was stupid - and I'm sure keeping both bottles side by side can be considered just as dumb... Anyway, one thing Moby said that was interesting is that he usually takes Ambien to get right to sleep, as he hosts a morning radio show. And it has me wondering, do any other morning jocks do this? Can you imagine S&V on Ambien or Bert on Valium?

Bert has talked about his trouble with relying on sleeping meds, though I don't recall if it was Ambien or something else...

Sorry I don't have much more info, but I do know they talk about it frequently.

I was in bed by 9PM. Wild Turkey and going to bed at 10 does not work. I got up an hour early took a quick walk or workout (20 min) showered, ate breakfast and drank lots of coffee. I always had show prep ready so I didn’t have to there until air time. The real problem is you wake up at 4:30 am Saturday and Sunday with nothing to do. I got a job because the former AM guy was in “recovering” from prescription meds.

AMBIEN IS WICKED! Any person that has to rely on Ambien to sleep is addicted. And has anyone taken Ambien during the day? It's a freakin recreational drug. Someone needs to step in before Moby does a little rehab time.

I think I'm going to opt for Lunesta. Anything which makes you see glow-in-the-dark butterflies is as good as the stuff we had in the 60s.
