How do you get stations to sign up for Open House party? I wouldnt mind having KHFI in it also I think Dance would do fairlly well like that in Austin also.

Unfortunately, I disagree. There's no doubt that I would like Austin to carry OHP but I personally don't feel the support is there. When Mega 93.3 was all Dance, the station struggle with having advertiser and that's with no competitors in the market.

When 106.7 Jamz was Dance they did fairly well considering they had 102.7 KTFM and Mix 96.1 both playing a fair amount of Dance. OHP should succeed here in S.A. and hopefully it leads to more.

Yes and no, one thing I think Mega messed up on was the fact that they played a lot of underground dance in the middle of the day, which was not good. I think most of the people that want to hear dance mostly like the pop remixes & main stream club dance. I kind of think thats why Jamz lasted longer than Mega was because they played more mainstream pop remixes and top 40.<P ID="signature">______________

Also, most of the airstaff was from the old KTFM. Although, I wouldn't say 106.7 Jamz played pop mixes. Jamz played alot Club Dance Hits such Lasgo, The Rock Project, ATB and others.

Mega definatly played too much underground dance during the day wich was a major flaw. I also do not think LBJS at the time had people with the experience to run a rythmic dance station. But I do believe Austin has a market for dance, it is just not being tapped in by the corporate radio heads. I think OHP would be good for Austin, but I do not think it will come any time soon.
