Open House Party

Does anybody in Tulsa carry the Open House Party? I know that Mix carries their other show, The Retro Pop Reunion. Also, is Retro Pop on Starguide? It sounds amazing. The show is very localized. Must be at least 30 closures from the network. The local drops sound great and they never step on a vocal.

I worked for a group with a station that carried Retro Pop Reunion and it was delivered on CD every week. I know every time I listened I heard a request coming from Mix 96 at some point during the show.

NO ONE IS CURRENTLY RUNNING IT. IT WAS ON 92.1 KISS FM BEFORE KHITS... ERRR UM CLEAR CHANNEL KILLED IT. FRANKLY IT'S A DATED SOUNDING SHOW... WHICH DOES BEST IN SMALL TO MEDIUM SMALL MARKETS... HOWEVER SUNDAY NIGHT OPEN HOUSE PARTY WITH KANE IS NOT BAD

Retro Pop Reunion is delivered on CD.

The PD at Mix pays a part-timer to add all of the local IDs.

The amazing thing is they used to do this in real time. The part-timer would have to sit there as the entire show was dubbed into their Enco system and add the drops.

I suggested they do it in Cool Edit Pro - to save time, improve quality and eliminate the potential for errors, but that suggestion was politely rejected.

To each his own...
