I have posted this in the Dance format board here as well.

Dear Mr. Ferro,
My name is Tony Santiago. If you might have heard of me, that is because I ran the Metro New York Dance Radio Coalition back in the early 90's, at a time when New York City didn't have a dance radio station. As it is I still have an ear from the dance music fans of the region so whenever I hear something, positive or negative, I do my best to voice those opinions to the public....either in forums such as this or via the press.
While a lot of fans have mixed feelings about 'KTU and/or Mix 102.7 as of late, I have heard nothing but POSITIVE comments about WDRE. Just as we were disappointed when the Party 105.3 format was dropped for that "channelcast" experiment, we were elated when Party 105.3 returned. Upon a recent drive in Connecticut, I've tuned in. And from the way it sounds today, I left that dial ALONE from about Norwalk to Old Saybrook along I-95, where I started to lose the signal.
Out of all the years Party 105.3 has been on the air, I have NEVER heard the station sound as good as it did when I heard it today! And to me, with the exception of the hip-hop/reggaeton phase, I have always thought of Party 105.3 as great. But now, the sound just completely blows everyone out of the water! The "explosion" of new dance, along with a format that is about 85-90% dance intensive with more recent "classics" is something that New York dance fans have craved for. We had hoped that Morey would have simulcasted the 105.3 signal onto 92.7 when they had the chance. It would have garnered big ratings. Which is the only problem with Party 105.3, a poor Class A signal.
Many of us are anticipating the return of streaming audio of the station on the Internet. And when that happens, I will be blasting 105 while sipping my latte at Starbucks!
Andre, on behalf of the dance music community in the tri-state area, we thank you for giving the dance music format the proper respect it deserves. While we don't have anything against the oldies, we cannot stay stuck living in the past when there is such great dance music happening now, that no other station wants to touch around here! With that, if what you are doing is thinking "outside of the box" for radio, then KEEP IT UP! It is that innovative sound that Party 105.3 is doing that should be the PRIME example of what a dance music radio station in the United States should sound like!
With that, we all thank you and pray that you continue to do the good work that you do for that station.
It is definitely appreciated!
Thank you,
TONY SANTIAGO
