Opening Day--KRNT

Lotsa day baseball up and down the AM dial today. Anybody know what is up with 1350 KRNT's feed from the Cubs? It sounded like Pat and Ron were down at Gilbert High School calling the game against Roland-Story. It just had a bad phone line type sound to it.

KWKY 1150 DSM sounded really good with the Royals, as did KMA 960 Shenendoah, and WOW 590 Omaha (I know it is not WOW, but by God, that is what the call letters should be.

The Cubs sounded fine on WGN, (for being a couple hundred miles away) and 1390(?Carroll?). I never made it to 1590 KWBG in Boone, though they have carried the Cubs forever.

KPSZ 940 must not be carrying the Cardinals on weekday games, as they had their usual whatever.

When I was listening to the Cubs game, it sounded like to me that KRNT lost their satellite feed and had to go the phone line back up. Of course though the big question is, why weren't they able to get the feed back?

Props to KWKY for actually carrying afternoon baseball, being a Royals fan, I was nervous all morning that KWKY would go the route of AM 940 and air only the night games, therefor, pre-empting most of the April games.

Of course Praise 940 didn't carry the Cardnails game, their Jesus freak programming is too important to pre empt for a few hours. I'm sure Cardnail brass is thrilled to know that their new Des Moines affiliate will broadcast only a handful of April games.
