OPHELIA IS A COMIN'!

Run fo da hills Savannah/HH! Expected to make landfall just north of HHI at about 6am UTC (I think thats midnight eastern) Tuesday. Winds around 85 mph with hurricane force winds covering Hilton Head and skirting Tybee and Wilmington Island.

Eh. I've seen the track. Looks like a direct hit on Beaufort or Edisto Island. Savannah will be on the southern (and weaker) side. I think we'll be ok.

I think it's a little early to declare the coast safe, or not safe, from Ophelia. The forecasted track changes constantly. Odds are it will change again before the current (Sat 9-10 8:00am EST) forecast of a 2AM Tuesday strike north of Hilton Head. It has days to wiggle one way or the other.. or continue out to sea. Be ready though. <P ID="signature">______________
