Allan Sniffen at the New York Radio Message Board is reporting that he is "hearing" that O&A are out at 'YSP, and others there report (or speculate?) that Kidd Chris will take their place in mornings (presumably with music replacing him in afternoons). Anyone heard that anything is imminent?

If that is true, it proves the CBS brainstrust is back operating at 100%. ;D
Kidd Chris??? Are you serious??? UGH! His show is UNLISTENABLE! I'd just assume punch myself in the face than listen to his "show".
Look if the CBS braintrust was truly working at 100%, then they would NOT I REPEAT WOULD NOT put Kidd Chris in the Morning Drive slot.
He has never had any ratings success to speak of and will be used as a mop by P & S to clean their office with. He is a tool. A guy who sucked up to O & A then Howard with a few phony phone calls and thats it. He's never done anything.
People suggesting this guy for Morning drive only proves one thing....There is a serious lack of talent out there.

Hello? Anyone forgetting the Lawyers have O&A hamstrung so that they CANNOT do the show they want to, one more like us folks remember from the 'NEW days??? This is, after all, post-Janet Jackson, remember?

It's been my experience that most Philly people aren't intelligent enough to understand the Opie & Anthony Show. Sure, O&A have their share of d*** jokes and fart noises, but for a good part of their show, your brain has to work a little bit to get the references and the sacasm.
Most Philly people I know need brainless entertainment smashed into their heads over and over, like the neon sign outside of a nudey bar on Admiral Wilson Blvd. "GIRLS!!! GIRLS!!!! GIRLS!!!! NUDITY!!! NUDITY!!!! NUDITY!!!! STRIPPERS!!! PORN STARS!!! LESBIANS!!!!"
They need either that, or the extreme opposite... "The Female Perspective" and traffic and weather together with The Hollywood Buzz every 4 minutes. Blecccchhhh!!!

Wexler you can Hmmmmmmmm all you want but I am giving you facts. Plus I am bashing Barsky as well so whatever. CBS should just syndicate Preston & Steve. Oh and since I know more than I should, I know for a FACT CBS inquired about the availability of the Preston & Steve show just a couple of months ago which led WMMR locking them up with a 2 year extension.

OK...let's be honest with ourselves and our opinions here. CBS did not crap the bed. O&A crapped the bed. When you are as far along in this business and your career as they were when sex with sam happened, you know the rules. Whether you agree with them or not is irrelevant. They knew full and well they were breaking FCC rules...probably to be "shocking." All this considered, it is they who let their own fans down by running such a risk that they knew held a consequence of fines and suspensions. If you really break it all down, there is only one direction to point the finger. Give O&A a little faith. They were not so stupid that the consequences never crossed their minds. Blaming CBS for something O&A did and knew before they did it that it was definitely against FCC policy is ingnorance.

I personally think Kidd Chris would work in the AM at WYSP. I think he could give the P&S show real competition in the mornings. I also think Couzin Ed should come back for middays or afternoons.
