Opie and Anthony spilling beans... the rock returns today 5PM to YSP

They're joking about one of the "new/old YSP - the Rock station" sweatshirts and teasing "a major announcement" today at 5pm. Then, pretty much said that YSP will rock again. Then, they read a report about who was let go (Barsky and his crew, Scotty and Alex, two members of Kidd Chris - who's show will remain, and they have apprarantly canceled the John and Jeff show). (NOTE: no mention of the fate of "Lovelines", altho' I would suspect they are not gonna be on in Philly anymore). O&A are broadcasting from Philly to promote their "Travelling Virus" Show.

It's hard to tell. Some rock stations actually have carried Lovelines, albeit in the overnight hours. Maybe it'll be carried "live" at 1 AM out of L.A. Then again, if they did air it pre-recorded, I don't suppose anyone is going to write the station asking them to carry it live and later...

Anyway, we shall soon find out...

Anyone remember when Y100 had loveline, but they got so many complaints it was taken off after a month?

I don't know how Scotty and Alex got the job in the first place. They seem way too green to begin with to be pulled out of the sticks. And not funny or interesting at all.

The only time I ever tuned in to the Scotty and Alex show, one of them was hollering at the top of his lungs, arguing and calling one his callers a ******. "YOU'RE A ******, DUDE, YOU'RE SUCH A ***." Over and over again.

I knew right then that this format was a winner. I mourn the loss of the Free FM talk schedule. It will be tough for me now that I don't have a place to listen to immature talk show hosts berate their callers and self-loathing listeners with words like "***", "waterhead", "retard" etc. It's the height of comedy, I must say.

I love how the Wikipedia entry mentions who the phone screeners were (ie. wikipedia entry obviously written by said former phone screeners). THANK GOD, because I'd been trying to figure out for years who the phone screeners were on the show! Just like the former entry for "Northeast PA's Rock Station, The Bear", where it said, "The station prominently featured D-Stroyer, one of the market's premiere long-time heritage jocks." Who writes this crap?!?! ;D

Jagger was on a syndicated show out of NYC called Love Phones (with Dr. Judy) that Q102 carried. We get reminded of his Love Phones and Change of Heart (TV show) almost daily down here on The Jagger Show on Live 105.3 (DFW). Best morning show in the Metroplex!

Yep, it was "Jagger In The Morning" (Jagger and some chick named Dirty Diana) on Q102 from 1989(?) to December 1991.
